Kiln Paper prevents the glass from sticking to the base of the kiln. The smooth surface of the kiln paper translates to a smooth finish on the back of fired projects. 

One time use. 

The kiln paper is usually provided as part of the kit, but can be replaced by pieces of Bullseye Thin-Fire paper used for glass work. The kiln paper prevents anything from sticking to the insulating fiber base. 

Handle this product with care. Loose fibers can be harmful if inhaled, so wear a dust mask or use other protective means, like a kiln vent when handling. 

The fibers can also irritate the skin.It is a light white color that becomes more fluffy after firing.
